As you can see there is plenty of outer body rust in the typical areas but the
floors and frame are very nice and I did not see any rust thru.
From The story I was able to get this is an original 48,000 mile car that was
parked under a car port in 1968 and covered with cheap tarps, if you look at the
surface rust bleeding thru the white paint you can clearly see the areas where
the water ran under the tarp when it rained.
The place I got this was doing work for the owner before me,. The 4bbl carb. was
sent out and was completely gone thru even to the point that it was reanodized
in a gold color, (over $400.00 was spent on the carb.alone) There are new tune
up parts laying on the seat.
I have had this running and driving around the property, it seems to run pretty
well. No knocks or klunks or strange noises but it does smoke some, seems to
come and go. not all that unusual seeing it has maybe 2 hours worth of running
at idle time in nearly 40 years.. Motor is holding good oil pressure.. Due to
the fact the brakes are to the floor, I was not able to do much testing of the
transmission other than starting out and backing up and the little bit of
driving you see in the video, it does both of these without slipping or
hesitation..
It does not have a _ _ _ _ _ or vin plate. The Windshield and rear glass is not
damaged but two door windows are busted...
